My dad was born on 13/10/1929 in Doncaster and moved to Redcar when he was 5ish. He is brother to Derek, George, Rita, Barbara, Joyce. Loving husband of the late Biddy loving father of Lynn Susan and Pauline grandad of  Carl great grandad of Chelsea father in law of the late Alex and off Donna.

He married my mam on 1st August 1953.They lived in Biddy Camp near Marske with their twin daughters they lived there for a couple of years. They moved to. Hutton Grove Dormanstown where they had me Pauline. 

Dad liked a bet on the horses and a pint in the dormanstown british legion where he was captain of the darts team.

I ended up relying a lot on mam and dad. They were a big help to me and Alex (my late hubby).as were my sisters.  But when mam died dad was always there for us all. When me and Alex went into Ann Charlton Lodge mam and dad and sisters visited me and Alex a few times a week and he would go round to Alex mam's and bring her down to see us. Dad even became dad to my friend Pat and Pat was glad dad was a part of her life to.

Suddenly dad was admitted to hospital and was given 12 hours to live it was very distressing to watch but dad didnt last the 12 hours. He died with us at his bedside. 

I got dad to do the gazette dingbat and Every day I phoned dad to see if he had worked it out and we would see what we each other had got if he couldn't work it out I told him what I had and of course dad would say clever bugger or I'm glad I thought of that. But now I dont bother doing it because its not the same.I miss you dad so very much. I have so many fond memories of you and mam you both are etched in my heart forever. You never had a bad word to say about anyone and helped so many people.
